Hazel Fern , the daughter of William James and Eda Mae (Rose) Matthews and was born on July 1, 1998 in a farm house in Barry County near Lacy, Michigan (which is about 10 miles north of Battle Creek, Michigan. Hazel, Married TRACY L HALLOCK on ???? 19xx. Hazel and Tracy had three daughters, Bernice, Letha and Guila. Hazel divorced Tracy about 1930 and then married ALFRED WALTER TESTER who had immigrated to the U.S. from Crowborough, Suffex, England about 19xx. Hazel and Alfred met while Alfred was living in a boarding house on Hanover street in Battle Creek, Michigan. Hazel and Alfred were married on August 5, 1932 in Angola, Indiana. Hazel and Alfred lived most of their married life in Marshall, Michigan where they raised their two children, Darrell and Elaine. Alfred died on ???? and is buried at the ???? Cemetary in ????
