Curtis Theodore Marshall was born March 18, 1875. Son of Sam and Sophia Marshall. Curtis married FRIEDA MORGANTHALER, who was born in Germany March 11, 1880 and came to the United States at the age of 8. Curtis and Frieda had three children, Beulah, Claire and Earl. Freida's brother August 'Gus' Morganthaler came to the U.S. with Freida. Gus lived south of Nashville, Michigan on M-66. Curtis and Freda owned a farm on Barryville Road for many years. About 15 years after Curtis's death, Freda sold the farm to Clarence and Lilian McKelvey around 1953. Freda then move to Charlotte, Michigan and took up household with Lee Wondser who owned a farm west of town. Freida was involved in a fairly serious accident about 1955, when while walking in Charlotte, she was struck by a car. Curtis died on March 10, 1936 and is buried at Lakeview Cemetery in Nashville, Michigan. Frieda died on November 25, 1964 and is also buried at the Lakeview Cemetery in Nashville, Michigan. Both are in the Mausoleum. |
