This 'tin type' photo is likely the oldest photo in the oldest of Marshall Albums. There was nothing written on the album page to indicate these fellows names. Most likely they are early Marshall kin in the Seneca Co., Ohio area. Photo was likely taken around the time of the Civil War. As you scroll down you will see many Marshall photos who have been identified from 1870's through 1930's. Any assistance with unidentifed photos would be greatly appreciated.

Believed to be Sarah Marshall, Samuel's sister. Photo was a in terrible shape as surface was withered and cracked. I'ved restored all but the face and hands. Hopefully I can be successfully in my attempt to restore that portion also. |

Catherine 'Katie' Marshall There are 2 Katie / Catherines in the Marshall Tree (Seneca Co. Ohio and/or Barry Co. Michigan) More research is needed to positively identify which Katie this is. However, the photo is believed to have been taken around 1880-90. |

Katie Marshall?? a note beside the photo was written Katie Whistler. The photo was taken at the Whissler Studio in Canton, Ohio. But the photo is on hard stock with the other Marshall photos slotted in the old Marshall Album. |
